In April of 2022, Mayson was asked back to Ithaca College as a Special Guest to star as “Frollo” in their production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The performance, featuring a 30-piece orchestra, 70-person choir, and full pipe organ, received overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Mayson is currently in rehearsals for/shooting the role of Caiaphas for a streamed production of Jesus Christ Superstar, releasing online later in the month. Check back here for the link when it becomes available!

In November 2021, Mayson will be appearing as “Man” in Ithaca College Theatre Arts’ Production of The Other Shore. Performances will be held in the Earl McCarroll Theatre on November 12th and 13th, and from December 2-4. YourOwn, a short film Mayson shot in October 2020, was chosen as an Official selection of the Yonkers Film Festival (it’s 5th Festival acceptance). The screening will take place virtually through the YoFiFest site on November 16th at 5:30pm
In September 2021, Mayson was cast as the lead in, and shot Hooked, a senior thesis film at Ithaca College. A glimpse into the life of a married man longing for a new life, watch for the release January 2022!
In May 2021, Mayson performed in a virtual workshop of award winning playwright Saviana Stanescu’s new play Gun Hill alongside Fulbright winner Cynthia Henderson, under the direction of Erwin Maas. Mayson also participated virtually in the Saskatchewan provincial music festival, and placed second in the festival’s Senior Excellence Class.
In January 2021, Mayson appeared in Ithaca College’s production of Moments: An Evening of Work by Douglas Lyons. Under the direction of Zhailon Levingston (Chicken and Biscuits), and working with Douglas Lyons (Chicken and Biscuits), Mayson played the role of Bill in Fatigue, a 25 minute musical under the umbrella of the larger production written in response to the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020.
