Mayson’s Monthly Recommendations

Book:

Ready Player One

I was way behind on reading this. I watched the movie few years ago, then again this summer. After both watches, I loved it. So I thought it was probably time to give this a read. WOW does it blow the film out of the water. Maybe it’s because I loved the plot so much more, but for me this book is a 5/5. Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. Great for a nerdy speed read, and (obviously) loaded with easter eggs for the eagle eyed.

Song:

As It Was

You’ve probably already heard it, but I thought the top song on my Spotify Wrapped deserved a spot on here. It’s gotten me through a lot of late night bus rides on the tour I’m on. I didn’t love my first listen through the whole album, but I’ve grown to love it.

Movie:

Moneyball

I don’t like, or follow, baseball. This movie still made me feel so many things. Brad Pitt’s scene with his daughter in the guitar shop might be my #1 movie moment of all time. You’ll see what I mean. What this ASAP.
